How to Upload STL Files

Follow these three simple steps to upload your STL file and start the online ordering or quoting process.

1

Register For Access

Click the "LOGIN" button on the top left corner or log in to https://chemgold.com/user/login. If you are a new customer, sign up for an account so you can access our website.

As part of our process, we will contact you to verify your details.

2

Ensure Your File Is Ready

Before uploading, make sure your 3D file has been "booleaned." This means that all the different parts of your design are combined into a single, solid object.

If you're not sure, ask your designer for help.

3

Upload Your File

When logged in, click the "UPLOAD" in the navigation bar and select your STL file from your computer. Select your metal and finishing options.

STL File Submission Important Guidelines

File Format and Size:

• Our system only accepts STL files.

• The maximum file size for STL files is 100MB.

• If your STL file exceeds this size, please send it directly to [email protected].

• To ensure your file is error-free, we suggest using user-friendly model viewers like MiniMagics, MeshLab, or Blender.

• If you have a different 3D file format, you need to convert it to an STL file.

• If you're unsure how to do this, email [email protected] for assistance.

Alloys:

• For accurate pricing, designs with the same alloys should be uploaded within the same file.

• Designs with multiple alloys require each component to be uploaded separately.

Part Supplied and Finishing Jobs:

• Please upload part supplied and/or finishing jobs separately.

Special Instructions:

• Special instructions can be added at the end of the order before checking out.

PRICING

Our pricing is based on the approximate metal prices at the time your items are cast, taking into account their final weight and the inclusion of necessary sprue and support. Rest assured, we strive to minimise the amount of support and sprue while ensuring the quality of your castings is unaffected. Any excess clean sprue can be sent back to us for a credit or built up over time and returned for refining.
